Targeted Direct Mail Campaign for
Z-Seis Reservoir Imaging

Crosswell Seismic, a proprietary technology of Z-Seis, is designed to provide geologists the highest resolution imaging of oil and gas formations. This view, in turn, enables exploration and production personnel to make drilling and completion decisions based on real information, versus the extrapolated data with which they are normally forced to work. 

Crosswell is particularly beneficial in locating Unconventional Gas and providing structural details of the reservoirs in which it is found.  Since a key area for this gas is the Rocky Mountains, a large cluster of downtown Denver offices house many of the professionals who are making key decisions relative to the exploration and production of it.

Utilizing “immersion marketing” (targeting a very specific geographic region with a single message over a short period of time), Triad targeted a large concentration of geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers in downtown Denver.  These targeted buying influences were contacted repeatedly via a number of communications venues – trade publication advertising, publication relations, and a series of three direct mail postcards – all within five weeks. 

The tagline for this effort, It’s like being there, was the springboard for the campaign’s overall Wish you were here travel postcard idea. In other words, by utilizing Z-Seis’ unique Crosswell technology, you will be able to see deep into formations and reservoirs clearly, as if you were actually there, 15,000+ feet below earth's surface.  The sender, “Seymour Gas,” served as the inspiration for the Davey Award winning microsite: seemoregas.com.

This immersion marketing effort generated over 40 new qualified leads, some of which led to several projects being sold to first-time Crosswell users.
