Capitalizing on a unique capability generates $81mm in drilling equipment sales.

In the middle of a high-demand season for oilfield equipment in 2007, LeTourneau Technologies, Inc. beefed up manufacturing capabilities in order to be able to provide something to their customers that no one else could:  guaranteed delivery of key drilling equipment.

Triad worked with LTI to nail down specific, guaranteed delivery times for mud pumps, top drives, drawworks, and AC motors.  The program was branded “LTI’s Quick Turn Delivery Guarantee”, and prospects received a series of four printed pieces via mail – one delivered every two to three weeks – that communicated LTI’s commitment to quick delivery, and to the marketplace itself. 

The campaign was successful both in gross sales, and in ROI:

  • Approximately 1,500 targeted buying influences were contacted
  • $81mm of equipment was sold as a direct result of this contact; most of whom had no previous contact with LTI
  • The total campaign cost was just $48k
